Cette fête marque le début de l’hiver et du temps d’hibernation, elle correspond au Noël chrétien.
C'est la nuit la plus longue mais elle porte le germe de la Lumière, c’est la fête du Soleil qui renait, vainqueur des ténèbres et de la mort.
Dans le Culte Druidique, c’est un véritable appel à la Lumière et au Feu, ces feux qu'on allumait au cœur des cercles de pierres, souvent dédiés aux rites solaires, le Feu Sacré à l’image du Soleil renaissant dans la Nuit.
On pourrait symboliquement comparer le Solstice à la Vie qui se développe dans l’utérus de la mère, le germe qui s’éveille dans la terre et qu'on ne voit pas encore mais dont on devine les efforts.
C’est aussi une prise de conscience spirituelle de chacun, qui alors que sa vie traverse une période sombre et froide porte dans son coeur en son hibernation symbolique, l’espoir du renouveau, une étincelle divine qui commence à embraser son Être.
C'est un temps pour l'espoir, un temps de régénération, un temps d’initiation.

It is the longest night but it carries wears the germ of the Light, it is the celebration of the Sun that takes on a new life, winner of the darkness and of the death.
In the Druidic Cult, it is the real call to the Light and to the Fire, these fires that we lit in the heart of circles of stones, often dedicated to the sun rites, the sacred Fire just like the Sun being reborn at night.
We could symbolically compare the Solstice with the Life which develops in the womb of the mother, the germ which wakes up under the ground and which we do not still see but whose efforts we guess.
It is also a spiritual awareness of each, who while his life crosses a dark and cold period carries in his heart in its symbolic hibernation, the hope of a new age, a divine spark which begins to fire his Being.
It is a time for hope, a time of regeneration, a time of initiation.
